As a guide, my fees for proofreading range from £6 to £9 per thousand words depending on the amount of editing required.
I usually ask for payment before I start a piece of work. For longer projects, such as PhD theses, I can accept the payment in instalments. Payment can be made either by bank transfer or via Paypal.
